Welcome to the DC
The DC is a unique environment where students have the ability to transform the space into whatever fits their needs in our 6 dynamic stations. Whether they are looking for a place to interact with friends on campus, meet with a professor, catch up on studying, or attend one of the DC's great events, they can do so while enjoying food designed by culinary innovators. The DC has been designed to incorporate the newest trends in university dining. Guests may choose from one or all of our specially designed menus & culinary concepts. My Dish features familiar ingredients with a dash of innovation at an entrée station that is self-serve or served by our team. This station includes a variety of options including hot entrees, sides, and many healthy options.
Granary is a plant-based bar concept offering a variety of composed plant-based soups, composed salads, and salad dressings as well as a global plant bar with vegan options. The global plant bar offers dishes with with flavors from all over the world. Guests can grab fresh and wholesome plant based salads and other items that meet their flavor preferences simply and quickly.
Bistro Grill is our everyday grill that provides guests with a variety of choices from healthy to indulgent, familiar to intriguing. Bistro Grill offers burger options ranging from classic cheeseburgers to limited time specials such as our beef mushroom burger as well as a selection of chicken, turkey and vegetarian options. We also offer guests breakfast burrito and omelette options traditional to Westmont culture.
Monday-Sunday Grill Hours: 9:30am - 11:00am, 11:30am - 3:00pm, and 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Piatto, which is Italian for "plate," is our traditional Italian station serving up fresh baked pizza with classic toppings, served hot. It also offers specialty pizzettas, cassolettes, and other Italian favorites, like pasta and meatballs.
International Flavors, as the name may hint, is our globally-inspired station filled with meals that are loved around the world! Here, we explore cuisine such as Asian street food, Japanese ramen, Indian curries, and even specialty items like Australian dishes.
Seasons is a salad, deli, and soup station featuring a variety of fresh and in-season produce, along with proteins, and toppings. You can create a fresh and wholesome salad that meets your flavor and dietary preferences simply and quickly. Not in the mood for a salad? We have you covered! Make your own deli sandwich or get a fresh bowl of soup, made daily from scratch.
For Students with Allergies/Dietary Restrictions:
Simple Servings is our resident dining option, providing safe and appetizing food choices “ready to go” for our customers with food allergies, gluten intolerance, or those who prefer plain and simple foods. The Simple Servings station does not offer foods made with the FDA most-common allergens of peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, wheat, soy, milk products, and eggs. All foods offered will be made without gluten-containing ingredients. Simple Servings staff members are carefully trained to avoid cross-contamination of their menu items. Separate equipment, storage areas, utensils and preparation areas minimize, but do not totally eliminate, the chances of gluten and allergens in our Simple Servings foods.
My Zone is a self-serve area for students to access gluten free, peanut free, and tree nut free items as well as appliances to avoid cross-contamination. Students who request to use the My Zone pantry due to allergies are able to receive a key to the cabinets, where they can access the food that Sodexo provides for them. This area provides a safe environment for students to prepare their own food and receive supplemental items such as bread, cookies, and other desserts that match their needs.
To request a key or to meet with one of our AllerTrain Certified staff members to discuss your allergen needs at the DC, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the Food Allergy, Diet, and Nutrition Accommodation Form and you will be contacted within two (2) business days.
To receive a key, students will need to go through orientation to understand how to use each area.
