Your guide to dining with food allergies

We take pride in serving you wholesome ingredients, preparing recipes accurately and providing nutritional analysis and ingredient statements through our online menus and nutrition calculator. From our general manager to our front line servers, we work carefully to address food allergies, celiac diets, or other special dietary needs. 

Our menu system provides ingredient statements specifically highlighting the big eight allergens: milk, eggs, shellfish, fish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, & soyGuests may check on the presence of allergens prior to planning their meals using the online menu, Bite app, and nutrition calculator. The absence of an allergen listed on posted or electronic product signage is not a guarantee that the product is free of that allergen. The guest is responsible for communicating their allergy to a supervisor or manager to ensure safety.  

If you have a food allergy/special diet concern or would like to begin the accommodation process, fill out the Food Allergy, Special Diet, and Nutrition Accommodation Form. After you fill out the form, a meeting with an AllerTrain Certified Sodexo staff member will be set up at your convenience. We want to meet one-on-one with anyone who has individual dining needs to ensure that your dining experience is safe, delicious, and social. You can also email us directly at with any questions. 

My Zone

My Zone is our campus “pantry” where food items needed by students with Celiac disease or nut allergies are stored and prepared with precautions against cross-contact. This area is free of tree nut, peanut and gluten-containing ingredients and products. 

To receive a key to the My Zone pantry please fill out the Food Allergy, Diet, & Nutrition Accommodation Form and a Sodexo manager will set a time to meet for your My Zone Orientation. Please plan to set aside 30 minutes for the orientation, this gives us the opportunity to tailor your dining experience to meet your specific nutrition needs. 

Simple Servings

Simple Servings is our resident dining option, providing safe and appetizing food choices “ready to go” for our customers with food allergies, gluten intolerance, or those who prefer plain and simple foods. The Simple Servings station does not offer foods made with the FDA most-common allergens of peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, wheat, soy, milk products, and eggs.  All foods offered will be made without gluten-containing ingredients. Simple Servings staff members are carefully trained to avoid cross-contamination of their menu items. Separate equipment, storage areas, utensils and preparation areas minimize, but do not totally eliminate, the chances of gluten and allergens in our Simple Servings foods.

Mindful offerings meet stringent nutritional criteria based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Each meal part is limited in calories, has fewer than 30% of calories as fat, fewer than 10 % of calories as saturated fat, and is restricted in sodium, and cholesterol. Look for the Mindful icon to indulge in the healthy and delicious items offered at each meal.

Hayden Thrasher is our Regional Registered Dietitian providing nutrition education and support throughout the West Coast area. Hayden has a passion for creating a positive health culture so that food choices and eating habits aid in increased mental and physical health, personal and academic growth, community and a joyful college experience. Her food philosophy is a non-diet, “all foods fit” approach to nutrition and health and enjoys teaching students about Intuitive Eating, and debunking nutrition myths and fads.

VegetarianMenu items with the vegetarian icon contain no meat, fish or poultry, or any meat products such as soup base. Our vegetarian offerings meet the needs of lacto-ovo vegetarians and may include eggs and/or dairy products.

VeganVegan offerings contain no meat, fish, eggs, milk or other animal-derived products such as honey.
